How it heats

This is a floor-standing electric heater with Saunum’s climate equalizer built into the Air 7 cabinet — not a separate AirSolo box. The equalizer pulls hotter air from near the ceiling, mixes it with cooler air near the floor, and sends a milder stream back into the room so the bench is not a scorcher while your feet stay cold. You still throw water on the rocks for löyly. Fan speed is set on AirIQ (three speeds in the US IOM). Saunum designed Air / Air L to run only with AirIQ — Xenio and UKU do not run this heater. 240V 1-phase only on these SKUs. Saunum’s US IOM says do not feed this heater through a GFCI breaker; a licensed electrician follows that table and the nameplate.

Is AirIQ included?
No. This shop sells the heater and AirIQ as separate SKUs. Order saunum-airiq-wifi. Saunum’s US IOM: Air / Air L run exclusively with AirIQ.

Are stones included?
No. Saunum IOM: stones are not part of the climate-device package. Order rounded 5–10 cm boxes — saunum-sauna-stones-5-10. Air Closed stone basket, black (catalog CLSD BSK) pile in the IOM is 50 kg / 110 lb (closed basket). About 4 boxes of the 15 kg / 33 lb Saunum 5–10 carton (we round up so you are not short).

Is the climate equalizer built in?
Yes, on Air and Air L. AirSolo is a climate equalizer only — not a heater — and we do not list it.

Closed vs open basket?
Closed (CSB / black Air L) is the solid-steel cage. Open (SSB SKU — Saunum’s open-basket code) is the open stone basket (Air 5/7 catalog calls the open SKU black; Air L open SKUs are stainless). Same kW and same cubic-feet table in the US IOM. Other basket: saunum-air-7-ssb.

Xenio or UKU?
No. Those are Harvia and HUUM. Saunum wants AirIQ. Using another control voids the Saunum warranty and UL listing per the IOM.

Is this a complete sauna?
No. Heater only. You still need a room, ventilation, AirIQ, stones, and an electrician.

What voltage?
