HUUM CORE Black is a compact electric sauna heater in 6.5, 9 or 10.5 kW, for rooms of about 177–566 cu ft. The square heater has a black metal case, stands about 32.7 in tall and 15.2 in square, and holds about 88 lb (40 kg) of 2–4 in stones. Its small safety distances let you place it close to the benches or embed it in a bench. Made in Estonia. HUUM’s US spec is 240V, hardwired by a licensed electrician. It needs a HUUM UKU control, and stones are sold separately (3 boxes).
How it heats
Electric elements inside a stone cage. You need a HUUM UKU (or compatible) control — there are no dials on the heater. Round stones are what HUUM recommends. Licensed electrician, heat-resistant cable, no guessed breaker size from us. Glass and masonry: add equivalent volume when you size kW.

Match heater kW to insulated interior volume. Glass, stone, tile, or thin walls need more heater than a tight wood room of the same size. A licensed electrician completes the hookup from the nameplate — we do not guess breaker size. Email hello@selfcaresaunas.com to size the room first.
FAQ
What room size does it fit?
HUUM rates the 6.5 kW for about 177–318 cu ft, the 9 kW for about 283–460 cu ft and the 10.5 kW for about 354–566 cu ft. That makes the 9 kW a fit for 8–9 kW cabins like the SaunaLife E8 and CL7G. For glass, brick or tile walls, add volume per the HUUM manual. See our heater sizing guide.
What electrical service do I need?
HUUM’s US spec table lists 240V with a 30 A fuse and 10 AWG cable for the 6.5 kW, and 50 A with 8 AWG for the 9 and 10.5 kW. A licensed electrician confirms the circuit from the HUUM manual and nameplate.
Can it be built into a bench?
Yes. HUUM allows the CORE to be embedded in a sauna bench along its full length, as long as the top of the heater is not lower than the bench surface and the air under the bench can move freely.
Are the control and stones included?
No. You need a HUUM UKU control and about 88 lb (3 boxes) of round 2–4 in stones such as HUUM 5–10 cm stones.
How does it ship?
By freight. Sauna heaters are not part of the free ground parcel offer (that covers eligible parcel items over $75, such as stones and parts). The freight cost shows at checkout or is confirmed with you at order confirmation. Inspect the delivery and note any visible damage on the receipt.
What warranty does it have?
It is covered by HUUM’s manufacturer warranty; the general terms are at huum.eu/warranty. HUUM’s manual says the warranty is not valid if the heater output does not match the room volume, and damage from unsuitable stones is not covered, so size the room and use proper sauna stones.
