The HUUM HIVE Wood 13 is a HUUM wood-burning sauna stove from Estonia rated 13 kW for about 212–459 cu ft. HIVE Wood is the round cage wood stove — same visual family as electric HIVE.
How it heats
Burn firewood, heat a large pile of stones, throw water for löyly. A qualified person connects the flue. Stones are required — HUUM wood stoves are built around that mass, not a thin electric box. Set the stove on a non-combustible hearth with the clearances in the US manual. First burns are smoky; do them with the room open as HUUM describes. HIVE Wood 13 vs 17: different log length and stone count in the HUUM manual. LS puts the loading door through the wall so you feed from the next room.
Match stove output to insulated volume. Glass and masonry eat heat. Chimney, clearances, and combustion air follow the manufacturer manual and local code. Email hello@selfcaresaunas.com if you want a second look at the room.

LS meaning? Through-wall firebox so you load from outside the hot room. Non-LS loads from inside.
Chimney included? Not on the stove-only listing. Packages: only if our team confirms a flue kit is in that bundle.
